Wildlife Wonders is a free, family-friendly event celebrating the biodiversity of our region.
This event offers the community an opportunity to interact with wildlife experts and enthusiasts. We believe that supporting wildlife through the use of native plants in residential and community gardens, as well as in wild areas, is critical to maintaining local biodiversity. The exhibits will celebrate oaks and other native plants, and the birds, bees, and butterflies that call our region home.
Celebrate native wildlife, biodiversity, and the remarkable relationships between wildlife and the plants they depend on.

There will be a Sacramento Valley Chapter CNPS field trip to Grass Lake (north of Luther Pass on Highway 89, near the California/Nevada border, and south of Lake Tahoe) on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Trip leaders will be Carol Witham and Greg Kareofelas. We may be joined by members of the Bryophyte Chapter and CalFlora.
