Summary
What are seeds? Tiny time capsules! Living genetic potential! Seeds are amazing. Join us for a beginning overview of seed saving. This presentation is aimed at new and curious seed-savers. We will go over when and where to harvest, a few species that are great for beginners, cleaning techniques, storing seeds and more! You’ll get the information to start saving seeds and links to some helpful resources to find out more.

Speaker Bio
Matthew Ampersand suffers from insatiable curiosity. With a background in informal education and a passion for ecology, food, and community he founded find out farms, where he curates educational programming and runs a native plant nursery. He produces events around food and ecology, maintains dozens of native plant gardens around Sacramento County, and gets easily distracted trying to identify insects.
