Speaker Bio
Katie McCammon has spent close to ten years in the environmental advocacy space. She worked with the South Yuba River Citizens League and Citizens Climate Lobby back in her hometown of Nevada County. After experiencing massive increases in fires over the years, she decided to intensify her activism through professional engagement. She finished her degree in communications at UC Davis and sought work with grassroots climate advocacy near the Capitol. She is now co-executive director of 350 Sacramento and working towards an MA in Public Interest Communications, with an emphasis on climate communication, through the University of Florida. She works on uniting organizations and citizens of all ages in the necessary work to protect our home and future.
