Sambucus mexicana

• Woody shrub or small tree 6 to 20 feet tall
• Full or partial sun
• White flowers in flat-topped clusters
• Pale blue fruits are a favorite of birds and other wildlife
• Stems and twigs are quite brittle during the winter
• In colder more open areas they can go dormant and lose many of their leaves
